Alberta Alliance Who Educate and Advocate Responsibly (AAWEAR)

Our Mission: to improve lives through Support, Education & Action

We advocate for people in Alberta who benefit from harm reduction. Through peer support, street-level outreach, education, and community engagement, we aim to offer lower-barrier access to resources, services and community spaces to improve the lives of people who use or used drugs, the lives of people who have work experience in the sex trades, the lives of people who have been incarcerated, and the lives of people who have experience living houseless.

Through advocacy and working with agency partners, AAWEAR (Alberta Alliance Who Educate and Advocate Responsibly) seeks to remove barriers for all individuals who benefit from harm reduction and build relationships based on trust, credibility and compassion.

AAWEAR also has Calgary, Edmonton, Red Deer and Lethbridge chapters.
