Battlefords Family Health Centre
B.F.H.C. is a designated primary health services site, and is a non-profit corporation owned and operated by Battle River Treaty 6 Health Centre Inc in operation since February 2000. BFHC is a partnership between Prairie North Regional Health Authority and Battle River Treaty 6 Health Centre Inc.
Clinical Services:
Physicians and nurse practitioner provide a broad range of services to individuals and families with a focus on prevention, early detection and by connecting patients to other services in the community. Services are accessed by appointment. The PNHR diabetes team comes to the clinic monthly to provide services and the Primary Health Care Counselor conducts assessments and offers counseling services to clients.

Sexual Health Clinic:
The Sexual Health Team is a partnership between the Battlefords Family Health Centre, Battle River Treaty 6 Health Centre Inc. and the Prairie North Health Region.
The clinic is staffed by community health and public health nurses (Battle River Treaty 6 Health Centre Inc. and PNHR), and staff from the Bridging the Divide program. Clients nurse practitioner from the BFHC
The services provided include:
testing and treatment of sexually transmitted diseases
HIV/AIDS testing
Pregnancy Testing
Harm Reduction: includes the distribution of clean needles and other harm reduction supplies and education on their safe disposal.
Birth control counselling
Sexual health counselling
Education
Patient and family support for HIV
