Carnegie Community Centre — often referred to as the living room of the Downtown Eastside — provides social, educational, cultural, and recreational activities on-site and nearby at Oppenheimer Park.
The programs serve low income adults with the goal of nurturing mind, body, and spirit in a safe and welcoming environment.
Elevators
Elevator access is available from the main level to the second and third floors, as well as the lane level.
Ramps
Ramp access to Carnegie is through the patio on the east side of the building. There is a call button to activate the patio gate on the left side of the patio entrance.
Washrooms
Wheelchair-accessible washrooms are on the main level and third floor.
There are additional washrooms available on the lane level and the second floor. Lane-level washrooms have narrow 29-inch doorways and may not accommodate mobility devices.
