Opioid Addiction Treatment Clinic - Regina

This is a harm reduction program for injection drug users that also includes a recovery option. Program goals include improving the social determinants of health for injection drug users and other at-risk individuals. It also aims to reduce injection drug use, drug-related crime rates, as well as Hepatitis C and HIV infection rates in Regina and area. Harm reduction is a public health approach to reduce the adverse consequences of drug use among persons who continue to use drugs and in the society at large. For people addicted to heroin, morphine or opium, methadone treatment is a legal, safe and effective means to minimize craving, discomfort and other harms arising from withdrawal of illicit drugs.
