Anonymous confidential HIV testing About Us Welcome to the Windsor-Essex County Health Unit! Public health programs keep our community healthy by promoting improved health, preventing disease and injury, controlling threats to human life and function, and facilitating social conditions to ensure equal opportunity in attaining health for all. Our Health Unit, in partnership with other agencies and health care providers, seeks to enable all Windsor and Essex County residents to be as healthy as possible. Our Sexual Health Clinic provides the following confidential services, provided by public health nurses and a Nurse Practitioner (NP): Testing for Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) and information on the treatment, spread and prevention of these infections HIV Testing (anonymous and confidential) Birth control at cost ($5 to $16.50 per month) Annual physical exams and birth control prescriptions by a Nurse Practitioner (NP), for women under 25 (OHIP card needed) Sexual health problem diagnoses and treatments by a NP (OHIP card needed) The Morning After Pill at a reduced rate ($15.00) Confidential Pregnancy Tests ($5.00) and counselling HPV vaccine at cost Hepatitis A and B vaccines, if eligible Free condoms
