Oromocto Community Health Centre

The Oromocto Community Health Centre is a facility that provides primary health care services, illness/injury prevention, chronic disease management and community development services, using a population health promotion approach. The centre is made up of a team of health care professionals who are all about teamwork, collaborative practice, community participation, and patient-centred care. The team includes a physician, nurse practitioners, social worker, dietitian, registered nurse, licensed practical nurse and community developer. In addition to Oromocto, Oromocto First Nations and families on the Patient Connect NB registry from CFB Gagetown, the Oromocto Community Health Centre serves the village of Gagetown, Geary and Tracy. Special programs that the centre offers include: - First Nations cooking and Moving with Youth programs - Cooking courses at middle schools - Drop-in information sessions for breast-feeding mothers at the Military Family Resource Centre, led by the RN and dietitian - Roots of Empathy program, led by the social worker - NEW (Nutrition Exercise Wellness) program and breakfast programs, led by the dietitian - Wellness programs offered in partnership with the Military Family Resource Centre Available Services Clinical Services Sexual Health Services
