For over two decades, Moyo (previously known as Peel HIV/AIDS Network) has provided a growing array of health promotion, education, social and support services for people living with, affected by, and at systemic risk of HIV. Through collaborative efforts and effective service delivery, Moyo has become the leading HIV/AIDS service provider for Peels communities of Mississauga, Brampton and Caledon.
Our client support and care program serves clients in need of case coordination, counselling and referrals to communities and healthcare providers. Our program also supports people affected by HIV/AIDS such as partners, close friends and family members - our services include:
• One on One Counselling
• Referrals to doctors, lawyers, community and social agencies
• Accompaniment to appointments and advocacy
• Assistance with filling out applications
• Meet and greet sessions, Monthly drop-ins, and social group for clients
• Workshops on topics such as HIV treatment, reducing stigma and positive prevention
• Annual Client retreats
• Collaboration with community partners in service coordination and advocacy
• Emergency financial assistance, transit tokens and food vouchers
