Northeastern Public Health - Timmins
Porcupine Health Unit and Timiskaming Health Unit have now officially become Northeastern Public Health as of January 1st, 2025. We can still be reached at our offices, existing phone numbers.
In Timmins, we provide a confidential, easily accessible sexual health clinic. Our nurses and physician provide a variety of sexual health services available through appointment. Depending on what brings you to our clinic, you may need to be seen by the nurse and/or the physician. A health card is not required. Services include:
- To obtain your birth control at low cost (pills, patch, Depo)
- The "Morning-After Pill"
- Pregnancy testing or help with a referral
- Testing for Chlamydia and Gonorrhea, Trichomonas, Herpes
- Testing for Syphilis, Hepatitis A, B, C and HIV (anonymous, rapid testing available)
- Treatment of Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, Trichomonas, Herpes and Syphilis
- Vaccines (Hepatitis A, B, HPV, and mpox)
- Cervical screening

- Diagnosis and treatment of genital warts (HPV)
- Removal of an IUD
- Referrals to specialist (HIV, Hepatitis, IUD or contraceptive implants)
