The Centre for Northern Families is sponsored by the Yellowknife Women?s Society and is dedicated to supporting and assisting women in empowering themselves and their communities. The Centre operates an emergency women?s shelter (for women over the age of 19) and two onsite medical clinics that provide outreach services to women at risk of contracting Hep C and other infectious diseases. Support and referral services are available onsite for women living with or at risk of Hep C.
