The Works Needle Exchange Program

Toronto Public Health (TPH) provides programs and services to reduce drug-related harm for people who use drugs, including preventing the spread of communicable diseases.

In order to increase harm reduction access in Toronto, TPH provides safer drug use supplies, education and program support to many community agencies across the city.

Provide counselling and distribution of free harm reduction supplies:

  • safer injection equipment
  • safer smoking equipment
  • safer sex products
  • provide sterile injection supplies,
  • education on overdose prevention and intervention,
  • health counselling services and
  • referral to drug treatment housing, incoming support and other services

Outreach Van - Call (416) 392-0521

  • The Outreach Van:
    • Monday to Saturday: 4:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. – call to place order
    • Monday to Saturday: 6:30 p.m. - 11:30 p.m. – order delivery
  • The Now Van:
    • Wednesdays: 2:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. – pre-scheduled training sessions for individuals or groups. Call anytime to book training session. Van staff will contact with next available Wednesday training session.
  • Toronto boundaries – Lakeshore to Highway 401, Highway 427 to Meadowvale

*TPH closed its services at 277 Victoria Street on April 1, 2025. TPH will no longer offer supervised consumption services. TPH no longer operates a drop-in at this location. If interested in these services, please call.
