TSHSYR operates five programs: Porter Place, a shelter for homeless men; the York Region Youth Shelter, a shelter for homeless youth (16 to 24 years); Leeder Place Family Shelter, a shelter for homeless families; Lakeview Place Home for Special Care, a longterm supportive housing program for people with chronic mental health problems; and Community Housing Support Program, which helps individuals and families in the shelter to find, get and maintain housing.
